More courts are opening every month. Will your players keep choosing yours?

The Repeat-Play Playbook is for court owners across Asia who already have courts, and now have competition. It shows you how to set up memberships, prepaid credit and rewards that give players a reason to choose your club when the new one opens nearby.

Every new court nearby is one more place your players can go.

Nobody knows how long the boom will last. Anyone can see the courts going up.

Malls are adding courts. Developers are building bigger indoor centers. Across Asia, the same pattern keeps showing.

  1. Long Bien, Hanoi, 2024 to 2025 54 courts became more than 100

In less than a year, in one district of one city.

    VnExpress, AFP
  2. Philippines, March 2025 to May 2026 One mall chain went from 44 courts to 86

SM Supermalls now runs 86 pickleball courts across 29 malls, with more planned.

    Daily Tribune, SM Supermalls
  3. Hanoi, April 2026 "Sprung up like mushrooms after rain"

Owners said finding a free court used to be almost impossible. Now supply has outpaced demand and courts sit underused.

    Dan Tri

Players will probably keep playing. The question is where.

Why waiting doesn't work

When courts are scarce, hourly rental is enough. Players come because there's nowhere else to go.

When courts are everywhere, players book whatever is closest or cheapest that day. A bigger venue can always build more courts than you. Discounts only start a race to the bottom.

What gives a player a reason to pick you

  • A membership that makes your club their club
  • Credit on their balance they'd rather use than waste
  • A reward they're two visits away from earning
  • A bonus for bringing a friend next time

That's what this playbook helps you build, one offer at a time.

First, what this playbook won't fix

If your Open Play is overbooked, the wait is long, or the rotation feels unfair, players will leave no matter what offer you run. Fix that first.

This playbook doesn't cover court booking, Open Play queues, skill matching or coaching. Those matter a lot. They're simply outside its scope.

A free check before you buy anything

At your next busy Open Play, time how long players wait between games. If people spend more of the session sitting than playing, cap the headcount per court before you launch any offer.

What's inside

One offer, priced and tested before you spend anything on it. Then the rules, the launch, and how to tell whether it worked.

Your first offer in seven days

Each day takes an hour or less, and points to the chapter and worksheet that help.

  1. Pick one goal and write it in one sentence.
  2. Choose one template that fits your courts and peak hours.
  3. Price it: cash in, value given away, cost, break-even.
  4. Write the rules. Test them on two players.
  5. Brief your staff. Run five practice transactions.
  6. Record where you're starting from.
  7. Launch to your regulars first.

Is it for you?

It's for you if

You own or run a pickleball club with one or more courts, anywhere in Asia. New courts are opening near you, and you'd rather act now than wait to see how many more open.

It's not for you if

You're a player or coach, or you're looking for booking or Open Play queue software. This is a guide for owners, about offers.

Every outside fact in the book is listed with its source, checked in October 2026. The numbers in the examples aren't benchmarks or promises. Your prices, costs and players are different, and the worksheets leave those blanks for you.

Questions

Does it work outside the Philippines?

Yes. It's written for clubs across Asia. Templates use no currency, so you can read them in yours. Only the worked case uses pesos, for a fictional club in Manila.

My club is small. Is it still useful?

Yes. The book checks every offer against your capacity, because a one- or two-court venue has less room for prepaid balances than an eight-court club. It shows you how to run that check before you launch.

Do I need software to use it?

No. You can run your first offer with a spreadsheet and a notebook. Chapter 9 explains the signs you've outgrown manual tracking, and what repickleball does when you get there.

Will it fix players leaving because of long waits or bad rotation?

No. Fix those first. This playbook covers memberships, prepaid credit and rewards, which work best once your sessions already run well.

How do I get it?

After payment, Gumroad gives you a download link right away and emails you a copy.

You can't control how many courts open near you. You can control why players come back to yours.
